Welcome to the Special Services Department.  Our goal is to be of assistance to students, parents and teachers by providing any additional services that will allow an opportunity for success.  We coordinate services for Special Education students, Gifted students, English as Second Language students, Homeless/Migrant students, Foster students, and those requiring Homebound services.  Please feel free to contact us for information on how to request a referral for services.

A comprehensive range of special education services are offered by Seymour R-II School District to assist students to reach their potential within the least restrictive environment. In each program, emphasis is placed on assisting the individual student to gain useful knowledge and experience, grow in self-esteem and understanding, develop social and work-related aptitudes, and learn basic skills for earning a living and for responsible citizenship.
